Teaching our children about healthy eating is much easier when we show them good healthy eating habits and this easy to make and healthy orange banana smoothie is a great place to start.
So when your kids are looking for a treat, open up your refrigerator and help them make a quick and healthy smoothie instead of simply another bag of chips. The trick here is that there are only two ingredients so it is both easy and quick to make.
In your favorite blender mix:
1 previously frozen banana, peeled and sliced. (TIP: peel and slice BEFORE FREEZING!)
1 1/2 cup of chilled orange juice
That’s it! Now mix till smooth and serve. And don’t be too surprised if your children don’t end up preferring this to their normal treats.
