This Apple Melon smoothie recipe has a nice sweet tart taste that will make you smack your lips-and pour yourself a glass of seconds! And, it is pretty low in calories so it can be used in a smoothie diet–but filled with vitamins and nutrients you need for healthy living.
In your smoothie blender mix:
-1/4 melon, peeled and cut into chunks (You can use honeydew or cantaloupe)
-1 apple, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
-1 kiwi, peeled and cut in chunks
-1 tablespoon of lime juice
-1 tbsp. Chia seed
These fruits are pretty juicy and sweet, but if your smoothie is too thick, just add an ice cube or two to thin out the consistency-or if you think it is a little too tart, and you need to sweeten it up, just add a tablespoon of honey-a lot will depend on the sweetness of the melon.
