Its also easy to turn this Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie treat into a nutrition powerhouse by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a taste of its own so adding it won’t change the “banana peanut buttery” results.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 2 Bananas cut up in chunks or about 1 ½ cups of frozen banana slices (TIP peel and slice bananas BEFORE FREEZING!)
- 3 Tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup of yogurt (vanilla, plain, or banana)
