Want to try a smoothie you won’t find everywhere else? Then try this Bee Pollen smoothie mix!

Bee pollen comes from the pollen that bees collect on their bodies in their job of pollinating flowers. As a food, bee pollen has a wealth of vitamins, minerals, protein, and carbohydrates. Don’t confuse Bee pollen with other food derived from Bee’s efforts like royal jelly, honeycomb, and natural honey. None of these products contain pollen.

Bee Pollen is found in most health food stores, in some larger supermarkets, or at Amazon just by clicking on the link. It has been touted as an aid in dealing with conditions as diverse as alcoholism and allergies. While these, and other, claims have yet to be scientifically validated, there is also no evidence that Bee pollen is harmful. What has been established is that contains a lot of nutritional value.

In this Bee Pollen smoothie recipe Bee pollen is just one healthy ingredient in a recipe that is very “green”.

In your favorite blender mix:

  • 1 Tablespoon Bee Pollen

  • 1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Molasses
