All over the internet are detox remedies. Some are pretty good, some are out and out frauds and only a few taste good. Here is a cherries and berries smoothie recipe that proves detox smoothies don’t take second place in taste at all.

In addition to being one of the best detox smoothies, this recipe also calls for a tablespoon of Chia seed for additional nutrition. Chia is a natural seed and a nutritional powerhouse. Chia is rich in antioxidants and heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids. Even better, unlike flax, Chia has no taste of its own so using it in this, or any other, recipes won’t change the delicious results a bit. Or, if you aren’t a Chia fan, flax will provide much of the same benefits. Just bringing more of a taste of its own to the mix.

In your favorite kitchen blender mix:

-Full cup Raspberries (frozen and unsweetened)
-1/2 cup unsweetened Cherries (unsweetened)
-1 cup cold almond milk (rice milk works too)
-1 1/2 Tbsp. honey
-2 Tsp. lemon juice
-1 Tbsp. Chia seed

Makes two servings.
