Just in time for spring comes a fruity and tart “Berry Cherry” smoothie mix that mixes cherries and mixed berries for a smoothie that is both really good and really nutritious.
Don’t let the simplicity of this recipe fool you! Enjoying this mix is going to give a lot of antioxidants, vitamins, and an energy boost as well.
- 1/2 cup Cherries (no stems! If you can’t get fresh cherries don’t beat yourself up; frozen will work as well)
- 1 cup Blueberry Juice (but not from concentrate, that doesn’t have all the good stuff in it)
- 1/2 cup of mixed berries, whatever you like best
- 1 Tbsp Chia seed. We like Chia seed in smoothies better than Flax but that will work too.
And that’s it! Everything in the blender at once and mix.
-If you like your smoothies cold, use the frozen cherries and chill the Blueberry Juice first.
-This is a very open source smoothie! Just about any type of berries you like are going to work really well.
