Apples have long been a staple smoothie ingredient as have berries of all types. No surprise there, one of the largest reasons smoothies are so popular is they provide an easy and tasty way to get extra fruit nutrition in our diets. So, this apple-berry smoothie recipe makes all the sense in the world.
As an extra benefit, its plainly one of the easiest recipes to put together so there isn’t going to be a lot of fussing around before you get to the drinking stage!
In your favorite blender mix:
1 cup soy milk, plain or vanilla flavored (or other milk, your choice)
½ cup apple juice
1 cup your choice of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, or sliced strawberries (either fresh or frozen)
1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced (TIP: Peel and slice the banana BEFORE freezing!)
1 tbsp. Chia seed
Ice to taste (if even needed)
