Although we generally post our own recipes, we want to share this blueberry banana smoothie video because it is a great example of how versatile smoothies are to add vitamins and nutrients to your daily meal plans.
This video was made by Kardena Pauza who runs a website called Kardena’s Kitchen that promotes a vegetarian diet. All the ingredients she uses here are free from animal by products.
The one ingredient that we disagree with her on is her use of flax seeds. We use and recommend Chia seed over flax seeds because chia contains more omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients. Another important benefit of chia over flax is that Chia seeds have no taste of their own to bring to the mix. This means adding them is not going to change the taste of the recipe in any way.
That said, this is an extremely healthy smoothie that even non vegetarians can enjoy.
