This recipe renders an easy to make and healthy carrot juice smoothie.
Including other healthy and interesting ingredients make this a great low calorie, high energy “filler-upper”. That works both as a snack or a satisfying mid day meal.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1 large frozen banana, peeled and sliced (TIP: peel and slice BEFORE FREEZING)
- 1 apple cored, seeded and cut in chunks. Use the apple you like best. For me, I used a Fiji with great results.
- 2 cups cold carrot juice
- 1 cup of low-fat vanilla yogurt
If your smoothie blender is strong, put everything in at once and blend until smooth. If you are using a blender that’s a bit under powered put everything in except the apple slices. Feed those in a bit at a time so you don’t risk breaking a blade or jamming your machine.
