This Carrot Lime smoothie recipe was found on the site carrotjuice.com. Although it might seem different to pair carrots and lime, this smoothie mix carries it off really well. Make a great lunch or anytime snack.
Plus both carrots and limes offer a whole lot of nutrition with very few downsides. You can also “punch up” the nutrition factor by adding either a tablespoon of Chia or Flax seeds to the mix. Both are good, but Chia has less of a noticeable taste so it will disappear into the recipe a bit better.
- 12 ounces of fresh carrot juice
- 2 cups of vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 of a peeled lime
- 3 baby carrots
- 8 ice cubes
