This may sound different and it is! This Carrot Orange mixed veggie and fruit smoothie is really good and really loaded with all sorts of veggie and fruit nutrition. Adding Chia seed won’t change the results of the recipe and will bring even more nutrition including heart healthy omege-3 fatty acids.
-1 1/2 cups of chopped carrots (you can use raw, or if you prefer to steam a bit first to soften you can do that too!)
-1 cup of low fat orange yogurt
-1 cup of chilled orange juice
-1 teaspoon of Chia Seed
