This is another mixed fruit and veggie smoothie recipe. Combing carrot Tomato, and other delicious stuff provides a healthy and energy filled way to begin the day. It works just as well as a mid day snack too. Optionally, you can add a tablespoon of Chia seed to provide even more nutrition. According to Dr. Oz, Chia is rich in calcium, dietary fiber, antioxidants and important, heart healthy, omega-3 fatty acids.
Besides the Chia the carrot, tomato, and apples are all packed with vitamins and minerals in their own right. In the end, this is a very nutrient rich recipe.
- 1/2 cup tomato juice
- 2 cups tomatoes (sliced)
- 2/3 cup sliced carrot
- 2/3 cup apple juice
- Tabisco or other hot sauce to taste
- Ice to taste
- (optional) 1 tbsp. Chia seed
