Plus, this simple smoothie tastes really good too!

In you favorite smoothie blender mix:

  • 1 cup silken tofu (confused about the difference between regular and “silken” tofu? Follow this link for the facts)
  • Half a cup frozen (or fresh) cranberries
  • Half a medium sized beet (roasted or raw)
  • Half a medium cucumber
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 orange, peeled and quartered, or half a cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 stalk of celery

Blend until smooth, then enjoy!

In my opinion, cranberries are an overlooked smoothie ingredient. Probably because, by themselves, they are so tart they are hard to eat. However, it is this bold taste that makes them such a good smoothie ingredient. Even when mixed with other ingredients, it is impossible to hide cranberries. Such is the case with this cranberry banana smoothie recipe.

In your favorite blender mix:

  • 1 cup cold cranberry juice
  • 1 previously frozen banana (peel and slice BEFORE you freeze!)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp. Chia seed (optional)
  • Ice to taste

This delicious recipe serves two.

This Cranberry breakfast smoothie recipe is a good mix of energy producing fruits and fiber to power you through the morning and help prevent that mid afternoon slump that sends you out for more coffee or energy drinks.

In your favorite blender mix:

  • 1 cup cold cranberry juice
  • 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 5 or 6 oz. uncooked oats (about 2/3 cup)
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • sweetener to taste (don’t be afraid to use sugar, this is a pretty low cal mix)
  • Ice to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. Chia seed
