There are so many smoothies made with yogurt that sometime the smoothies without yogurt get lost in the noise. If you aren’t a big lover of yogurt try this mixed fruit and veggie smoothie recipe that delivers a great deal of taste without any yogurt in the mix.
Its also easy to turn this unique smoothie treat into a nutrition powerhouse just by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results.

To make this delicious veggie and fruit smoothie, fire up your favorite blender and mix:
2 tangerines (peel and seed first)
1 previously frozen banana (peel and slice before freezing)
2 cups baby spinach (fresh is definitely best)
1 1/2 cups coconut milk
1 Tbsp. Chia seed
