Guava Nectar And Mixed Fruit Smoothie Recipe

This smoothie recipe with fruit and Guava nectar is great as an after workout energy replacement. Low in calories and high in both fiber and protein.

Its also easy to turn this smoothie treat into a nutrition powerhouse just by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results.

Guava Smoothie With Lime

Guava is more often found in salads and even some spreads but it also makes a great smoothie, especially when used with Limes. This guava smoothie is very easy to make and tastes just great!

  • 2┬áripe guavas, peeled, seeded and chopped into pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups of cold milk (soy, low fat or evaporated)
  • 3 Tbsp of honey (if counting calories on a smoothie diet, use Stevia instead)
  • 2 limes
  • Ice to taste
  • 1 tsp Chia seed for additional nutrition including omega-3 fatty acids

You could also freeze the guava first to reduce the amount of ice and make your smoothie colder.
