Now that the holidays are almost upon us once again, here is a Chocolate mint smoothie recipe to add to the holiday treat list. This will satisfy the chocolate lover in everyone and the peppermint is the perfect holiday treat. But there’s no reason why a treat can’t be healthy too. You can also add Chia seed to this recipe to get a wide range of vitamins and minerals including the important heart healthy omgea-3 fatty acids.
The only “trick” to this recipe is to heat the milk until its hot but not boiling and combine it with the cocoa mix. Mix these two first and then add everything else.
For even more chocolate, garnish a bit of shaved chocolate.
- 1/3 cup cocoa mix (instant)
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint
- 2 cups milk
- 1 Pint Vanilla frozen yogurt or Vanilla ice cream
- 1 tbsp. In your favorite blender mix:
