Today chocolate is one of the most popular types of food in the world. And no wonder! Sometimes chocolate just hits the spot and this Chocolate smoothie recipe is no exception! And adding Pears to the recipe just makes it even better.
For one of those “gotta have chocolate” moments this Chocolate smoothie recipe will satisfy that desire.
This recipe can be made into a nutritional treat as well if you add a tablespoon of Chia seed to the mix. Chia is a nutritional powerhouse including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega-3 fatty acids. Even better, Chia has no real taste of its own so adding it to the mix won’t change the chocolaty goodness at all.
In your smoothie blender mix:
1 cup of frozen chocolate yogurt
2 pears, cored, seeded and cut in chunks
1/2 cup of low-fat milk
1 Tbsp. Chia seed (Optional)
Perfect for an after dinner dessert, or an after school snack.
