Why a Cilantro smoothie anyway you might ask? Well, first, because cilantro is really good and really healthy and, secondly, a cilantro smoothie is pretty unusual and that makes it really fun!
One more reason is that cilantro is available fresh in the stores all year and fresh is always good.
One note of caution though: Cilantro and flat leaf parsley are almost identical so don’t make that mistake or your “cilantro” smoothie is going to be very strange.
In your favorite blender mix:
- full cup cilantro leaves
- 1 cup strawberries (about 8)
- 1/2 cup dates
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 tbsp. Chia seed
All ingredients go into the blender at the same time and mix until you get the consistency you like best.
