easy smoothie recipes

Probably the best thing about any of the easy smoothie recipes is how versatile they are. As a case in point, This is a really good recipe for either an afternoon snack or even an after dinner dessert.  The mix yields four servings so be sure to adjust accordingly. Optionally, you can add a tablespoon of Chia Seed to either of the below mixes to add a whole day’s worth of nutrition without altering the delicious fruity taste you want.

In your smoothie blender mix:

  • one cup low fat milk
  • two cups ice
  • one half tsp. vanilla extract
  • two cups frozen low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • two cups unsweetened cherries (fresh or frozen)
  • two cups raspberries (fresh or frozen)

Of course one of the hallmarks of easy smoothie recipes is that they can be easily adjusted to suit your mood at the time. For example, the above recipe is spectacular just the way it is but see how easily it can be adjusted:

  • one cup low fat milk
  • one half tsp. vanilla extract
  • two cups frozen low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • two cups Blueberries(fresh or frozen)
  • Two frozen bananas (NOTE: Peel and Slice BEFORE FREEZING)
  • Ice to taste

See how easy it is? This is still an easy smoothie recipe that is quick to make and a real treat but with a completely different outcome.

The moral is to let your imagination and personal tastes dictate how you make your smoothies and use these easy smoothie recipes as a guide.
