Fruit Juice Smoothie Recipe

Fun Fruit Fact: Tangerines are really a variety of the Mandarin orange. They are smaller, not as sour and are easier to deal with in terms of peeling and preparing.  Tangerines are full of vitamin-C and beta-carotene. In this recipe they are an added treat in a not so traditional fruit juice smoothie recipe

Add even more healthy nutrition by including a tablespoon of Chia seed to the mix. Chia seed is a nutritional powerhouse and loaded with heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega-3 fatty acids. Chia is a better addition than Flax because it has no taste of its own and won’t change the berry and tangerine goodness at all.

In your favorite blender mix:

– Cup of cold OceanSpray┬« Cranberry Tangerine Juice
– 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
– 1/4 cup of frozen strawberries
– 1 Tbs.Chia seed (optional)

Mix completely and top with a fresh section of tangerine, orange or big fat strawberry
