fruit salad smoothie

Have you ever looked in your refrigerator at the leftovers and just started to dump small containers and bowls of fruits or vegetables? Don’t! Instead take the containers of fruit that you cut up that seems to be getting a little flat, turn those left overs into a delicious and healthy fruit salad smoothie!

All you have to do is mix any left over fruit salad you might have, with a cup of low-fat vanilla yogurt (I think Greek Yogurt works best) and you will be surprised at the delicious meal or snack you created!

And, if you like, you can even throw in a handful of spinach. It will add more nutrition and make the smoothie a nice rich texture. All healthy, and so very delicious!

Want to add even more nutrition? All you need to do is add a tablespoon of Chia seed
. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a noticeable taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results. You can order Chia directly from Amazon just by clicking on the link above.
