high energy smoothie

First, let me admit that this high energy smoothie is not at all low in calories. If you are on a restricted calorie diet plan this particular recipe probably shouldn’t be on your list.

But, that said, calories are a measure of energy and by that measure this recipe is a great choice when a pick up is needed to get you through a tough day.

As a bonus, it tastes great too!

Serves two.

In your favorite blender mix:

  • 3 oz creamy peanut butter
  • half cup silken tofu
  • half cup milk (soy, 2%, whole; your choice)
  • two frozen bananas – Peel and slice the bananas BEFORE freezing!
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate syrup
  • 1 tbsp. Chia seed
