Summer fruit is always so refreshing, and often makes the best breakfast smoothies. This Kiwi smoothie is both easy and refreshing.
Its also easy to turn this Kiwi smoothie treat into a nutrition powerhouse just by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 2 kiwis cut in chunks (you can leave the skin on if you want)
- 1 cup pineapple-fresh pineapple is the best, but you can use canned
- 1 cup chilled orange juice with pulp
- 1 tbsp Chia seedChia seed
Add 1/2 cup of chilled orange juice at a time..and if you need to add a little more to make it into the texture you like the best.
