This Lemon Mango smoothie is a family favorite! We love the sweet tart refreshing taste of mangos and lemons mixed together! As a breakfast smoothie -this smoothie mix gets us ready for the day! Chia seed is an optional ingredient that will not change the taste of the recipe if you do use it. Chia brings a whole range of nutrients including heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
This recipe should be one you use again and again during the warmer summer months. Not only is it really refreshing, the combination of both lemons and mangoes just goes well in warmer weather.
In your smoothie blender mix:
-1 cup frozen mango
-Juice of one fresh lemon (drain seeds, pulp is ok, you can even add some zest if you like)
-1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced
-1 cup of low-fat lemon Greek yogurt
-1 tbsp. Chia seed
-Ice to taste
