Ready for a lettuce banana smoothie?
Lettuce is mostly water but does offer a wide range of other vitamins and minerals in varying amounts including vitamin K which is good for the blood and synthesizing of protein.
Bananas, justlike Turkey and other poultry, contain tryptophan which the body needs to create serotonin. In turn, serotonin helps you relax and also acts as a mood enhancer.
This lettuce banana smoothie recipe is absurdly simple, with just two ingredients if you don’t count the water.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 3 bananas, peeled and sliced (TIP: If you freeze your bananas, peel and slice them BEFORE FREEZING!)
- 1/2 head of Romaine lettuce
- 2 cups filtered water
