If you think of Mulberries at all its probably in a tea or specialty wine. But those lucky folks who have a Mulberry bush on their property, or live next door to a neighbor who has one, knows how tasty Mulberries are when baked into a pie or a tart. And, they are particularly tasty in this Mulberry Banana Smoothie recipe!
This smoothie uses the red Mulberry which has the strongest flavor. If you can’t find Mulberries locally, there are many sources online.
- 2 cups fresh or frozen Mulberries
- 1 frozen banana (peeled and sliced)
- 1 1/2 cups apple juice
- 1 tsp honey
