The basis of this natural antioxidant smoothie mix is to include natural ingredients that will provide a healthy dose of natural antioxidants and still be a tasty and satisfying treat. All ingredients are naturally rich in antioxidants as well as other nutritional benefits too.
It is your choice to use fresh or frozen fruits but, of course, if fresh is available that is preferable.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1/2 cup raspberry
- 1/2 cup blueberry
- 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1 previously frozen banana (peel and slice before freezing!)
- 1 cup filtered water (add to thin to a consistency you prefer)
- 1 Tbsp. Chia seed (Optional)
