It struck me a few days ago that, until now, we haven’t included any Nutella smoothie recipes in our little collection.
After a bit of searching I found this one on a Yummly board titled “Onion Rings and Things”. Of course I modified it a little bit but it is still essentially the same recipe so credit where credit is due.
In case you aren’t clear, Nutella is a hazelnut concoction originally from Italy. Its main ingredients are sugar, palm oil, and hazelnut. In the US, the recipe also contains some soy products. For more information read the wiki page.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1/2 Cup Nutella
- Frozen Banana, peeled and sliced (TIP: peel and slice BEFORE FREEZING)
- One Cup milk (your choice of type)
- 1/2 cup vanilla frozen yogurt (or ice cream if you prefer)
- 1 Tbsp. chocolate syrup
- Ice to taste
Put everything except the ice in the blender. Add ice a bit at a time until you reach the consistency you prefer. If you don’t freeze the banana to begin, you will probably need more ice.
