And, if you are looking to add more nutrition, toss in a tablespoon of Chia seed to the mix. Chia is a natural nutrition powerhouse that brings a lot to the table including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 2 fatty acids. Even better, Chia doesn’t have any taste of its own so adding it won’t change the delicious results a bit.
To create this oatmeal smoothie, mix in your favorite blender:
1 cup cold Orange Juice
1 Previously frozen banana, peeled and chunked
1 cup milk (your choice, skim. soy, etc.)
1 package instant oatmeal (your choice of flavor)
1 tablespoon Chia seed
Blend everything until you get the consistency you prefer and then enjoy!
