Orange Greek yogurt smoothie
Do you remember high school biology? Did you remember our body cannot store vitamin C? It has to be consumed daily from other sources? You are to be forgiven if you weren’t paying attention that day but it is true and it is important. It means that, to be as healthy as we can, we need other sources of Vitamin C.
And we are of the opinion that this Orange Greek yogurt smoothie mix is a great way to get both vitamin C and a treat at the same time!
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1/4 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp sugar substitute (Splenda, Sweet n’ Low, Truvia, ect.)
- 1/2 cup Orange juice (please, no concentrate!)
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 peeled and sliced Orange. NOTE” This will put pulp into the smoothie and some don’t care for that. Leave out the Orange if this is a concern.
