Ginger is an interesting spice and some enthusiasts consider it to be an almost perfect food. For the rest of us, Ginger is very useful flavor used to make many recipes (such as this Orange Ginger Smoothie) even more tasty.
This recipe also includes other fruit flavors that make it a very good choice as a breakfast smoothie or any time a refreshing and healthy treat is desired.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1 cup Orange Juice (Fresh is definitely best)
- 1 Tsp. Freshly grated Ginger root
- 1/2 cup Pineapple Juice
- 1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced (TIP: Peel and slice BEFORE FREEZING!)
- Ice to taste
- 1 Tbsp. Chia seed (Optional)
