Every once in a while you just deserve a treat. That’s what this Oreo cookie smoothie is for; those times when you just don’t care about nutrition, eating healthy, or any of that healthy stuff. All you want is a bit of comfort food that tastes good and not worry about anything else.
This Oreo cookie smoothie is also a good one to get kids involved with food prep. With only a few ingredients, all of which they like, it has no real challenges for the younger set. Although, from experience, I will say you do need to be sure that top of the blender is secure before mixing!
- 5-6 Oreo cookies
- 3 tbsp. chocolate syrup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 large frozen banana (peeled and sliced before freezing)
- 2-3 Ice cubes (or to taste)
- 1tsp vanilla
Crush the Oreo cookies in a bowl before mixing and you might want to crush a couple of more to use as a garnish! Anyone who likes Oreos is going to love this treat.
