A huge plus for smoothies is how easily they can mix various fruits and other flavors together. Here is a prime example of that ability. A Pineapple/Orange/Papaya combination that is sure to please any fruit lover. We call this a Papaya smoothie but it is also an Orange Smoothie and A Pineapple smoothie. Whatever the name, this is cold, refreshing, and really tasty!
Its also easy to turn this Papaya smoothie treat into a nutrition powerhouse just by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a noticeable taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1 ½ cups of orange juice
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- ½ cup frozen banana slices
- ½ cup fresh papaya
- 1 Tbsp. Chia seed
