A Peach smoothie is great anytime of year but all the more so in the warmer months. In summer the stores are full of wonderfully juicy peaches, but sometimes they ripen so quickly we are looking for ways to use them. Instead of a peach pie, use fresh peaches to create this wonderfully delicious peach smoothie. And, we’ll add some spinach too!
For even more nutrition, add a tablespoon of Chia seed as well. Chia is a natural powerhouse of nutrition including heart healthy, choleste3rol fighting omega 3 fatty acids. Even bette3r, Chia has o taste of its own so adding it to the mix is not going to change the results at all.
In your favorite blender mix:
-1 cup of low fat yogurt (vanilla, peach or even plain)
-1 cup of raw spinach leaves
-1 cup of peach chunks -seeded; skin on is just fine!
-1 tablespoon of Chia seed
