So many smoothies include bananas is that, besides tasting great and being really healthy, is that they add consistency to the mix. This Peach Smoothie recipe is a great example of that. Without the banana, the peaches and pineapple wouldn’t have anything to hold them together. But, include bananas, and this peach smoothie turns into a real treat.
The recipe can easily be turned into a nutritional powerhouse by simply adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia brings a whole range of nutritional goodness to the mix including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids. Even better, Chia has no discernible taste of its own so adding it to the mix won’t change the very tasty results.
In your favorite blender mix:
2 Peaches, pitted and peeled
1 frozen Banana, peeled and sliced
1 small Pineapple, skinned
1 Tbsp Chia seed
Ice to taste
