Kids are in full swing right now–school, after-school activities and non-stop “in and out!” Keeping them healthy and making sure they have a really good breakfast does not have to be a fight–especially if you ask them to help you make some really good breakfast smoothies. Here is a Pineapple Banana breakfast smoothie that is sure to be a healthy favorite.

In your favorite blender mix:

1/2 cup of grape nuts cereal
1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced TIP: Peel and slice BEFORE FREEZING
1 cup of vanilla yogurt (or you can use banana or pineapple if you have that in your fridge!)
1 cup of pineapple juice
Top with a tablespoon of dried fruit and nuts

And, if you want to add a natural source of Omega 3s in an easy way, just add 1 teaspoon of chia seed
