In fall, the store is full of pumpkins, squash and fall fruits. This fall, don’t just think pumpkins are for decorations or pie….but grab a couple of cans of pumpkin and make this tasty pumpkin yogurt smoothie. Quick, easy and so tasty!
Want more nutrition in your smoothie? Then add a single tablespoon of Chia seed to the recipe. Chia seed will bring a wide range of nutrition value including heart healthy cholesterol fighting omega-3 fatty acids. Even better, unlike flax seed, Chia has no real taste of its own so adding it to the mix is not going to alter the wonderful pumpkin flavor.
If you need to thin out your smoothie, add some crushed ice or a couple of ice cubes, mixing until it blends to your favorite consistency.
You can also cook the meat of a fresh pumpkin, by placing in a shallow pan and cooking at 325 until the pumpkin meat is tender.
