A strawberry pineapple smoothie recipe that is a refreshing mix of fruit flavors that’s easy to make and easier to enjoy. This mix is a great breakfast smoothie!
Its also easy to turn this strawberry pineapple smoothie treat into a nutrition powerhouse just by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1 cup pineapple pieces or canned
- 1 cup of strawberries, fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup cold soy milk
- 1 cup of yogurt (plain, strawberry or pineapple; you can also use ½ cup of pineapple and ½ cup of strawberry)
- 1 Tbsp. Chia seed
Pour into a chilled glass and serve.
