No, there isn’t really a single summer smoothie. Instead it is sort of a class of smoothies that are particularly tasty when the weather turns warm. Like most of our recipes, this “summer smoothie” is both tasty and healthy. We hope it makes your summer just a bit better!
Tasty Summer Smoothie
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1 medium sized apple, cored but leave the skin on
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice (fresh if you have it)
- 1 tsp. Cilantro (and, really, use cilantro and not Parsley. The two are very different!)
- 1/2 cored avocado
- handful fresh mint
- 1 cup ice
- 1 tbsp. Chia seed
Everything goes into the blender at the same time, mix until smooth and enjoy! This recipe provides 3 to 4 servings.
