Sweet Papaya Smoothie;
For some reason a lot of people just swoon over Papaya. I like it but the fruit isn’t the “end all, be all” for me that it is for others. I think one of the reasons for that is that Papaya is available fresh pretty much all year round so it ends up being something of a staple choice.
Another reason is that it is, undeniably, very tasty. Papaya is very sweet with some interesting other flavors underneath and is almost as soft as butter.
I won’t go into all the nutrition Papaya offers, suffice to say that it is a healthy choice and is a really good ingredient in a smoothie like the one here:
In your favorite blender mix:
1 papaya, peeled, seeded and cut in chunks
1 cup of mango juice cup (or papaya, peach or apricot-your choice)
2 Tablespoons of honey
1 Tablespoon lime juice
½-1 cup of ice, or to taste
Everything goes into the blender except the ice which gets added a bit at a time until the mix reaches the consistency you like best.
