green peach smoothie

OK, I will admit that right up front that this really isn’t a “green peach smoothie” recipe at all. I just thought it up because the ingredients call for both peaches and some spinach leaves. And since to be considered “green” a recipe really needs something green and leafy, this title is technically correct!

All kidding aside this recipe is a winning tasty combination of fruits and veggies. I definitely recommend it be placed on your “try soon” list.

In your favorite blender mix:

  • 1 cup unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced (TIP: Peel and slice your banana BEFORE FREEZING)
  • 1 cup peaches, cut in chunks (fresh if possible, frozen if not)
  • 1 cup baby spinach

Put all ingredients in the blender at once and mix until smooth.

Green Tea smoothie with mixed fruit and honey:

All tea is made with leaves from an evergreen tree with the botanical tongue twisting name of Camellia sinensis. It is the way the leaves of this tree are processed that is the important factor in creating the individual properties that create the three most popular teas: Oolong, Black, and Green.

The leaves used to create green tea are the least processed and so offer more antioxidant polyphenois believed to be the reason behind most, if not all, the health benefits claimed for green tea. Should you want to learn more about tea, this link is a good place to start.

To enjoy this green tea smoothie in your favorite blender mix:

  • half cup green tea (previously brewed and chilled)
  • 1 pitted peach (slice before blending)
  • 1 frozen banana (peel and slice before freezing)
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. Chia seed
  • Ice to taste (if you use a banana that isn’t frozen, you will probably need more)

raspberry peach smoothie

This post is a very tasty raspberry peach smoothie that will serve two. Or, it will leave enough for seconds if you don’t want to share!

If you choose to use fresh peaches (and you should), shop for fruits without blemishes and not completely firm. Peaches are also go bad pretty quickly so don’t buy more than you will use in a couple of days.

Raspberries are a perennial of the rose family and are grown everywhere in the world where the climate is right. Raspberries are very rich in vitamin C, manganese, and dietary fiber. Oh! And they taste great too!

Together, these two fruits team to provide a very healthy, refreshing, and satisfying treat.

In your favorite blender mix:

  • Half cup Raspberries
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced Peaches
  • 1 cup peach nectar
  • 1 cup peach yogurt (non fat if you want)
  • 1 Tbsp. Chia seed (Optional)
