Yogurt is a perfect smoothie ingredient because it goes with just about everything else. Other than your personal taste, it really doesn’t matter what king of yogurt you choose for your next yogurt fruit smoothie because all are good.
Lately it seems like most smoothie recipes (including ours) recommend using Greek Yogurt over regular but, again, this is totally up to you. Greek yogurt has a different texture than traditional yogurt but both are very good.
This yogurt fruit smoothie recipe can easily use just about any type of yogurt you prefer. Enjoy!
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup frozen Pineapple (crushed or diced)
- 1/2 cup blackberries (blueberries work too)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 cups Almond milk
- 1tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. Chia Seed
If the frozen Pineapple doesn’t make the smoothie cold enough for your tastes, feel free to add ice cubes to the mix. Maybe a 1/2 cup or so.
