Those of us who love fruit will generally like almost all types. For me, I love both Apples and Mangoes and this Apple Mango smoothie recipe gives me the opportunity to blend both of these really tasty and really healthy fruits into one very healthy and satisfying treat.
Its also easy to turn this Apple Mango smoothie treat into a nutrition powerhouse just by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a noticeable taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results.
Apple Mango Smoothie Recipe
1 fresh mango
1 Apple sliced and cored (no seeds)
1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced (TIP: Peel and slice the banana BEFORE freezing!)
1 tsp. honey
1 tbsp. Chia Seed
