Once summer is again approaching, many people start madly dieting to fit into that special bathing suit. Often, an all juice diet is attempted but that eliminates all solid foods and leaves most people battling hunger all the time. A much better answer is to combine juices with fresh fruits in a smoothie. When made with the right ingredients, smoothies are both healthy and satisfying. To prove that point, here is a very healthy and very easily made Avocado V-8 smoothie you will enjoy. The Chia seed is optional but, if you do use it, it won’t change the taste of the mix and it will provide a wide range of minerals and vitamins as well as hearth healthy omega-e fatty acids.
n your blender mix:
1 large green apple, peeled, cored and cut in chunks
1 avocado, seeded and cut in chunks
1/2 cup cold carrot or V8 original vegetable juice
1 tbsp. Chia seed
