This is a Banana Melon Orange smoothie you can make with either fresh or frozen fruits-and one that is delicious any time of the year. We have added Chia seed as an optional ingredient here. If you choose to include it you will be adding a great deal of vitamins and minerals as well as important omega-3 fatty acids.
In your blender combine:
1 1/2 cups of cantaloupe chunks (approx 1/4 of a fresh melon)
1 banana peeled and sliced
1 cup of orange juice
1 tbsp Chia seed
Blend smoothie, and add a touch of honey if you like. Keep in mind that if you are using frozen fruits that it is always a good idea to cut back on the amount of juice at first. You can of course always add a little more juice, or if you want to make your smoothie even thicker, you can add little more banana.
