Two really good fruits,Cherry and Apple, make the base for this delicious and refreshing fruit smoothie. This recipe is one to try more than once.
Apples are a good source of vitamin C, dietary fiber, and Calcium. Cherries bring more vitamin C, protein, and a really good antioxidant called anthocyanin. Together in a fruit smoothie along with apple juice, yogurt, and some Chia for even more nutrition, these traditional fruits provide a great tasty and very healthy smoothie.
This Cherry and Apple smoothie recipe also calls for a tablespoon of Chia seed as an optional ingredient. Chia has no taste of its own so including it won’t interfere with the wonderful Cherry Apple flavor. Plus, Chia has a whole lot of nutrient value including heart healthy omega 3 fatty acids.
