In the mornings, the last thing I need is some complicated recipe. This is one of the very easy smoothie recipes; you don’t even need to think to get it done. Even better, its really healthy too!
Its also easy to turn this easy banana and yogurt smoothie treat into a nutrition powerhouse just by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results.
In your smoothie blender mix:
-1 frozen banana (peel and slice it BEFORE freezing!)
-1 cup cold orange juice with pulp (or without, your choice)
-1 cup of orange low-fat Greek yogurt
-1 Tbsp. Chia seed
