Berries are nature’s best treats. Almost all of them are colorful, tasty, and healthy to eat. In fact, it is difficult to eat too many fruits. To prove that point, this frozen fruit smoothie blends a number of different fruit flavors to produce a delightful and satisfying treat.

And, it is super easy to turn this frozen fruit smoothie treat into a nutritional powerhouse just by adding a tablespoon of Chia seed to the mix. Chia is a natural seed that adds a large measure of nutrition including heart healthy, cholesterol fighting omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Even better, unlike Flax, Chia doesn’t have a taste of its own so adding it here won’t change the delicious results.

Get out your favorite blender and mix:

  • 1 cup of Apple Raspberry juice (Old Orchard makes a delicious frozen product, or combine ½ cup of Apple juice and ½ cup of Raspberry juice
  • 1 cup of frozen raspberries
  • 1 cup of  frozen blackberries
  • 1 cup of frozen banana chips
  • 1 tbsp.Chia seed
