Low-Cal Berry Smoothie

In the world of smoothies, this is not the most creative recipe you are going to find. There are many smoothie mixes that use berries, yogurt and milk. But, and its a big one, that is OK! There are many times when I prefer a smoothie that is just basic and doesn’t want me to try something new. This smoothie mix is perfect for those times.

In your favorite blender mix:

  • -1 cup of fresh berries (blueberries, strawberries,and raspberries) If you don’t have fresh, it is fine to use frozen fruit too. If you prefer, mixed berries will work great.
  • -1/2 cup of low-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • -1/2 cup of low-fat milk
  • -1 tbsp. Chia Seed
  • -(Optional) If you prefer a cold treat, add about a half a cup of ice to the mix.

Put everything except the ice (if you are using it) in the blender and mix. Add the ice slowly until you achieve the consistency you want.
