A lot of us are hooked on smoothies because they are a wonderful way to get a low calorie, healthy meal without a lot of fuss or bother
A prime example of the no fuss or bother argument is this low calorie blueberry banana smoothie with just three ingredients. You end up with a delicious smoothie that is very low in calories but very big in taste and satisfaction.
In your favorite blender mix:
- -1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced (TIP: peel and slice your banana BEFORE FREEZING)
- -1/4 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
- -1/3-1/2 cup of orange juice
Put everything into your blender and puree on a medium to high speed until smooth. Add ice if you want a thicker consistency.
Optionally, you can add a Tbsp. of Chia Seed or flax to get even more nutrition in your mix.
